Canadian Dental Care Plan
Dental Coverage Available for Adults Aged 18–64 Through the Canadian Dental Care Plan
We want to share an important update for patients who may be experiencing challenges accessing dental care.
Registration for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) has expanded to include adults aged 18 to 64. This federal program provides coverage for essential dental care to eligible Canadians.
To qualify, individuals must:
Not have access to dental insurance (including employer-sponsored plans)
Have filed their 2024 Canadian tax return (and their spouse’s or common-law partner’s, if applicable)
Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000
Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
If you or someone in your family is struggling to access dental care due to lack of coverage, we encourage you to book with the clinic’s social worker who is happy to help with the CDCP application process.
Note: If you recently submitted a Disability Tax Credit (DTC) application, it may be faster to apply for CDCP without waiting for that application to be processed.
