Temporary Patient Care Update: Dr. Thomson Away

Dr. Thomson is currently away unexpectedly and does not have a confirmed return date. The clinic is actively seeking temporary physician coverage.

During this period, the clinic can provide triage for urgent concerns and limited short-term support when clinically appropriate. We cannot currently provide routine ongoing care, comprehensive follow-up, or regular episodic appointments for all patients of Dr. Thomson.

For regular prescription renewals, please contact your pharmacy at least 10–14 days before your medication runs out. British Columbia pharmacists may be able to renew certain stable prescriptions or provide an emergency supply when appropriate. For medications that require physician review, clinic staff will triage your request and may offer a limited prescription-review appointment.

If you have new or worsening symptoms, please contact the clinic for triage. For urgent care outside clinic availability, you can contact the Urgent Care Clinic in Courtenay or call 8-1-1. For emergencies, call 9-1-1 or go to the emergency department.

Please visit the clinic's resources page for a list of other resources available.
